Scanning Projects (11)
As a part of Wy'East Photography I scan photos, slides and negatives that have been sitting around people's homes. Some of the photos are small (remember those tiny prints we used to get?) but can have amazing detail. Slides have been popular for years but now people want to be able to post those images or print them or just want a digital archive. Similar stories go with negatives. And most people want large images. So I will work with the slides, negatives and prints to get the best image I am able to. A lot of these images have problems like fading, scratches and/or tears and I will work to improve the problems. Here are some samples of what I have done.

Birds and Bird-like Places (135)
As a Cub Scout den leader I began to discover the variety of birds around me. Then I was drawn into an interest in birds and the places where they congregate as a challenge to my photographer's eye. Here you'll find some of the results of that challenge. And if you don't think it's a challenge to photograph birds, give it a try.

Trips to the Coast (38)
I love the ocean. Always have. I grew up within minutes of the Atlantic Ocean so living in Portland has sometimes been difficult since it\'s two hours to the coast from here. I relish every opportunity to travel those two hours with my camera in hand.
